Girls Just Wanna Have Fun!

I had a wonderful time with a lot of my favorite girls this weekend! On Thursday I got to spend time with some of my best friends. I went to lunch with my friends Natalie and Mandee. It was great to see them and their cute little boys. We talked and laughed and caught up on each other's lives! After lunch I went with Mandee to her sister McKel's house. McKel is one of my other close friends. She makes me laugh so hard! I got to see her adorable little girl and baby. I have such fun girl friends and I am so happy I got to spend time with them.
I got to spend the rest of the weekend with my little sisters. Kellsi and Kaitlin came to spend the weekend with me. (Samantha had a softball tournament and so she wasn't able to come.) On Friday we picked Alex up from the airport. We then went to lunch and went shopping. On Saturday we went and got pedicures. It was fun, especially for Kaitlin because she had never had one. Her feet are really ticklish and I kept laughing at her while I watched her squirm! My sisters are so much fun and I love spending time with them!
Also on Saturday while the girls were getting pedicures, Alex set up the baby's crib! It is so adorable! I will post pictures later when the nursery is completely set up! It is looking so cute!

Happy Birthday Hubby!

Yesterday was Alex's 27th birthday- so happy birthday to him! We had a really fun party for him on Saturday. I am the worst photographer and forgot to take pictures. A bunch of our friends came to our house and we had a barbeque (I got Alex a grill for his bday). It was so much fun. We had a lot of good food and a just had fun hanging out. We are so lucky to have such good friends! I am so lucky to have such a wonderful husband! I am definitely happy that he was born 27 years ago!

Weekend in Delta

Alex is still gone, but luckily I have a fun family that entertained me all weekend so I didn't have to miss him so much! On Saturday I went to the Delta Reservoir (AKA The Res) with my grandma, mom, sisters, Aunt Bobbie, and cousins Nick, Danielle, Erin, and Kelly. It was so much fun! The weather was absolutely perfect and there was hardly anyone there. Since I am pregnant I couldn't participate in many activities, but I could watch! My mom and Aunt Bobbie both slalom skied. They were pretty proud of themselves and I was impressed as well. The kids rode a tube pulled by the boat. Nick is a crazy driver and they literally got three feet of air! It was definitely a good time, even though my legs got totally sunburned! I couldn't walk on Sunday, but at the moment they feel much better!

That night we went to the Delta Rodeo. My grandpa was the grand marshall of the rodeo. He was so cute! It was breast cancer awareness night and so my grandma got him a pink pearl snap cowboy shirt. He wore the shirt with his new black pants and black cowboy hat. He looked very handsome! He rode around the arena in a covered wagon while the announcer read a thing about his life. We were all so proud! When he got to the section where we were all sitting we stood up and cheered for him. He cried which is exactly what we expected!

The rodeo was especially fun because I saw three good friends from high school who I haven't seen in a while. One of my favorite people, Avalon was there watching her hubby Travis in the rodeo! I love her and Travis! Travis was my former coworker and Avalon is such a good friend! It was definitely a fun night!

On Sunday I got to talk to my dad! He called from Kuwait and we each got a few minutes to talk to him. He sounds like he is doing well. I am so lucky to have such a wonderful dad! He has sacrificed so much for my family. He has always worked extra jobs and overtime so my mom could stay home with us. He also never misses major events! When I danced in drill team he would always cheer the loudest, always yelling "Go Mariah!" I always felt so loved!

So that was my fun, fun weekend! It would have been more fun with Alex and my dad there, but it was fun nonetheless. As for Alex, he had his own fun this weekend. He went on a little excursion to Palmyra. When he gets home I will post his pictures and tell more about it. He comes home Friday (YEAH!) just in time for his birthday on Sunday! I can't wait to see my cute hubby!

Babies and Flowers!

Today has been a fabulous day! This morning I had an ultrasound and a doctor's appointment. I am always so nervous, but everything went so well. The baby looks so great. They did all of the measurements and checked everything out and everything looked normal. The baby was measuring a little big, so I might be due a little earlier than October 3. My doctor said that I am due anytime from September 27 to October 3. I am just happy that I was further along than not as far along as I thought. It is much better to add weeks than to subtract weeks. It is also so much fun because I am feeling him move. Last night Alex was even able to feel him move. I am just so happy that my baby is growing and developing normally!

Also today, I planted flowers in my yard. I have never planted flowers in my life, but I decided that I wanted my front yard to look a little cuter. It was actually quite fun and I think I might like gardening a little bit. Below are some pictures of my hard work for your viewing pleasure!
