Kellsi's Senior Ball

Saturday was Kellsi's Senior Ball. I was so excited to go because I didn't get to go to her Junior Prom because I was in Louisiana (for all you non-Nephites: everyone goes to senior ball to watch a floor show and then for a parent/child dance). Kellsi went with her boyfriend Riley and they had a great time. He had to wrestle in the morning, but in the afternoon they went to a movie. Then, Kellsi came home and we helped her get ready. Taylee did her hair and it looked so pretty! After getting her hair done we realized she didn't have much time so we quickly got her dressed, put her make-up on and then took some quick pictures. The floor show was fun. Kellsi and Riley were definitely the most beautiful couple! They danced to a newer version of the song "Time after Time." Then they did a faster dance, but the wrong version of the song was played so it was just a mess with Kellsi and Riley laughing their heads off! It was entertaining at least :)! Then, Kellsi got to dance with my dad. My mom danced with my cousin Patrick because none of his family came to watch him. After the parent dance we all headed home. After the dance Kellsi and Riley came to my parent's house and we made them a steak dinner. Kellsi had a great time and looked just gorgeous! I wish I would have had the camera out when Riley first saw her-it was hilarious. His jaw literally dropped! Anyway, I love that I am so close to Kellsi! She is a beautiful, good, kind girl and I am lucky to be her sister!

Temple Lights!

Last week Alex, Jackson and I met up with my family to see the lights at Temple Square. We went on the perfect night because it wasn't too busy or too cold! It was absolutely beautiful as always. And to make it perfect the red tree was all lit up this year! It is my favorite tree and is only lit every other year so I was pleased to see it! Jackson thought everything was great! He pointed and "OOO"-ed over everything. It definitely makes things even more fun with a fun toddler :). It was a great night-thanks for inviting us mom!

Fun in the Snow!

Well, last week brought LOADS of snow to our house. Tuesday morning I decided I needed to shovel the driveway and so I bundled Jackson up to join me outside. He absolutely loved the snow! He would walk to the edge of the driveway and face plant into the snow. He also shoveled (with his little sand shovel) and had so much fun. I had to drag him back inside when I was finished. He had the best time! I tried to take some pictures, but he wouldn't stay still long enough for me to get a good shot. So, here are the best ones!

Senior Ball Dress Shopping!

Last week Kellsi, Kaitlin, my mom and I went shopping for Kellsi's senior ball dress. It was so much fun! She only tried on two dresses and the second one was so beautiful! I have to point out that I picked it out-I have such good taste :). Kellsi is such a beautiful girl, inside and out. I am so grateful for the close relationship we have. I have the best sisters and love them all so much!

Christmas Party

Saturday night was Alex's work Christmas Party. It was at the Little America and was so much fun! It is always fun to dress up and go to a fancy party! The food was delicious and we sat with some hilarious people who had me laughing all night. They always have door prizes and Alex never wins. But, this year he did! Unfortunately the prize was a rice cooker, but at least he won! Before winning his friends at our table and said that if anyone won they would give lots of high fives and do a dance on the way to pick up the prize. So, Alex did just that. It was really funny. The DJ told him that he had to show some moves to get the prize and so he did a little dance in the middle of the dance floor. I am sure the people who don't know him thought he was drunk! Little do they know that my husband is just hilarious! Anyway, it was a fun night!

It's Beginning to Look a lot Like Christmas!

I love Christmas and have been getting into the Christmas spirit! Last week while Jackson napped I listened to Christmas music and wrapped a TON of presents! Then, Friday night we put up our tree and decorations. It was really fun. Jackson was in awe of all of the lights. He thinks the tree is fantastic and so we now have a barrier blocking the entrance into the front room :). On Saturday night I worked, but Alex took Jackson to Chris and Sally's ward Christmas party. Santa made an appearance and I thought Jackson would be terrified, but Alex said Jackson just pointed and said, "Whoa." He sat on his lap without any tears-what a big boy! This week I made some Christmas crafts for a couple friends, made treats for my neighbors, and finished my Christmas shopping! Coming up this week we have two Christmas parties and are going to see the lights at Temple Square. Stay tuned for more Christmas activity pictures!
