18 Month Check-Up. . .

ummmm 2 months ago!
My little boy is now 20 months and I am a huge slacker! I have been meaning to update, but it just hasn't happened! At Jackson's 18 month check up he was 34 inches (90th percentile) and 28 pounds (75th percentile) and his head was still 50th percentile. He is growing like crazy and learning new things everyday! He has so many words now. He seems to pick up a new word every day. I guess I will make a list :)
*His favorite words are No, Uh-oh, cool truck, big truck, cool car, dinosaur, Ironman, Spiderman, football, baseball, and pickle. He says a whole lot more, but I am not going to try to list them all!
*He loves to sing and dance. His favorite song is "Hey, Soul Sister" by Train and we listen to it several times a day. He even knows some of the words. I might put up a video if I remember!
*He also loves throwing balls and playing tag.
*He loves being outside and cries when we have to come in.
*He can count to three.
*He has 16 teeth and is working on two more back molars.
*He goes to nursery and has only cried once
*He loves opening and closing anything-doors, containers, the fridge, etc.
*He can put on his own shoes (although not always on the right foot:)
*He loves to eat pickles, oatmeal, french fries, strawberries, any type of bread, and fruit snacks
*He loves books! His favorites are Dr. Suess's ABCs, Green Eggs and Ham, and an animal picture book
*He loves the movie Cars. He will point at the DVD player and say, "Cars, vrooom" when he wants to watch it

I guess that is enough for now. He is such a fun little boy and I am so lucky to be his mom! I can't believe that in four short months he will be two years old! Crazy!

Nie Nie

I started reading Nie's blog a couple of months after Jackson was born. I was so impressed with her love of being a mother and wife and amazed at her strength as she goes through her trials. This video is a beautiful reminder to me of how blessed I am to be a mother and how blessed I am to have a testimony of my Savior. I was so touched when watching this video that I had to share it with everyone.
