Jackson Hole!

Eric, Alex's brother is a river rafting guide in Jackson Hole. So, we decided to go visit him for a couple of days! It was a quick trip, but we had the best time! We got up and left early on Sunday morning and headed to Afton, Wyoming. We went to church with Aunt Celeste and Uncle Guy and their boys. While they went to the rest of church we went to visit Grandma Hoopes. It was good to visit with her and have her spend some time with my boys. We spent a couple of hours at her house and then headed back to Celeste and Guy's house for a barbecue. We had some delicious dinner and visited for a while. It was fun-I just love Celeste and Guy. After dinner we headed to Jackson. We stayed at a campground at Hoback Junction right next to where Eric lives. We set up camp pretty late so we just went to bed. 

The next morning we got up early and went on a hike to Granite Falls. I thought it would just be a little waterfall, but it was really big and so beautiful! It was a really easy hike and so Jackson thought it was fun. We spent a while exploring around the waterfall and then headed back to camp. We had lunch and then Alex left with Eric to go down the river. I got the boys ready and we headed into Jackson Hole. 

Alex had so much fun on the river with Eric! I was happy he was able to go. I also had so much fun with my boys! We walked around town and looked in a bunch of shops. Then, we went to the Ripley's Believe it or Not museum. Jackson LOVED it! It had a lot of cool things to check out. It was a great time! After the museum we got some delicious ice cream and hung out in the town square to wait for the shoot out. We watched the shoot out and it was fun. Jackson was not a fan of the loud guns, but still thought it was cool. After the shootout, Alex, Eric, and two of Eric's friends met us for dinner at The Merry Piglets. It was delicious mexican food! Eric's friends were really great and we had a fun time visiting with them. We took a long time eating and just had fun. After dinner we just headed back to camp since it was getting pretty late and I had a couple of tired little boys on my hands! Right when we got back to camp I told Alex it looked like it was going to rain. We brought our stuff and Jackson into the trailer and then it started pouring! It was raining so hard you couldn't see through it! Gavin was still asleep in the car so I made Alex run back out there to sit with him until it stopped. It was a pretty amazing storm. Luckily it didn't last too long so Alex and Gavin could make it back to the trailer okay!

The next morning we went to Eric's trailer for breakfast. He cooked us some delicious food and we spent a couple of hours with him, Lady (his dog), and his friend Cory. Eric had a trip so we said our goodbyes and let him leave. We had planned on going to Jenny Lake, but after realizing it was an hour in the opposite direction we needed to go we decided to just head for home. On the drive we decided to stop at Bear Lake for lunch. We got some food and put on our swimsuits and headed for the beach! It was such a gorgeous day! Jackson and Gavin loved playing in the warm water. It was the perfect end to a fun weekend trip!

Summertime!

We have had the busiest summer! It seems like we are going every second until bedtime and then a few short hours later we are going again! Between swim lessons, planning a bridal shower, planning a wedding, young women's, normal work hours, trips to Nephi,  sewing a quilt, trip to Jackson Hole, zoo days and more we have stayed busy! This is a huge post of pics of some of the craziness!

Kaitlin stayed with us for a few days in June and we had the best time! The first day we went to the Arts Festival. It was hot, but so fun! First we had lunch at Noodles and Co.

We have the best neighbors! We have spent many evenings in the backyard together. Gavin is only three weeks younger than Bentley so it is fun to watch them play together. Our other neighbors have Redneck Horseshoes so we have been playing that as well. We have just had a lot of fun with them!

A couple of weeks ago I had a work meeting at 4  and then had to work at 7. So, Alex and the boys waited for me to finish my meeting and then we went to City Creek for dinner and a little shopping before I had to work. It was so much fun!

The boys even played in the fountains for a little bit. Jackson got soaked!

Alex's mom got us some free Bees tickets. They were great seats and we had a great time! Jackson and Gavin each got a ball, I caught a frisbee with a coupon for a free ice cream cone, and Alex caught some candy. It was a success for us!

Jackson's friend Kaden came to play for a couple of hours. They were superheroes!

They just had to ride the four-wheeler together even though one of them is getting too big for it! It barely went with them on it!

We were in Nephi for Kellsi's bridal shower during the Ute Stampede! We went to the parade and were going to go to the carnival, but it was too cold and rainy that night.

That is the beginning of our summer! Our trip to Jackson will be its own post and so will Kellsi's shower. We also still have the family campout, Girls Camp, and Kellsi's wedding to go! Busy, busy but so much fun!
