Jackson had a freaky allergic reaction a few weeks ago. I had just left a visiting teaching appointment and he started complaining that his eye hurt. I didn't really think too much about it. When we got home I told Alex to check it out. He yelled down to me too come and look. I about died when I saw it! His sclera was completely swollen. It was so swollen it looked like his pupil was sinking to the back of his eye. He was screaming because it hurt and he was probably scared. We flushed it out with saline and called the on call pediatrician. They told us to give him some Benadryl and to bring him in if it was getting worse. The Benadryl definitely helped and by bedtime it was getting better. By the morning he just had swelling around his eye, but was so much better! I still don't know what caused it. It was so scary!

Hey my friend! I miss our nightshifts together! Good thing I can keep up through your blog.
I had the exact same weird sclera allergic reaction happen to my son when we first got our cat, and he's been fine since. And just like you (the nurse in us?)I also took a picture. It looks like you've been having an awesome summer and your boys are adorable! Tell everyone on E8 hi for me!
