Current Obsessions

Jackson is growing and learning like crazy these days! He has been obsessed with a few things lately such as. . .


Not the best picture, but he LOVES these dogs! He sleeps with both of them every night and for every nap time. He doesn't always carry them around all day, but frequently he brings them with him while he eats breakfast. I gave him the red dog for Valentine's day and the blue dog is from my good friend Adaire. He just loves them!


He loves this movie! We always watch it on the upstairs TV and if he walks into the office he immediately brings me the remote to turn it on. Ice Age is now even one of his words! He laughs and laughs at the very beginning and at the baby dinosaur part-it is so cute!


Jackson would never eat baby green beans, but he LOVES actual green beans! One day I didn't realize Alex had already given him a bunch and I gave him more. He ate almost two whole cans in one day!


This was my favorite book when I was a baby and my mom still had my copy. She gave it to Jackson and he is obsessed with it! Some days we read it six times! As soon as I get done he is wanting me to read it again. The last few days he has been "reading" it to himself quite a bit. I need to get a new copy because this one is so old it is falling apart!


Jackson loves anything with wheels! He plays with cars and trucks all day long! He even wheels around his puzzle pieces that are cars. He can seriously entertain himself for a long time just driving his cars around.


Jackson has been learning so many new words! It is amazing how quickly babies pick things up! Some of his new words are Jackson, grandma, grandpa, ice age, ta da!, fish, yellow, juice, banana, apple, cookie, turtle, shoes, nose, nigh-nigh (for goodnight), bye-bye, hello, outside, bubble, basketball, and more that I can't think of at the moment. He also understands most of what we say.
He is such a happy, pleasant little boy. He has a few new teeth coming in and he is still so happy. He is my little buddy and I love that he still likes to snuggle with me! I just love this little boy!

Not So Sunny St. George

A couple of weekends ago I went with my mom, Kaitlin, and grandma to St. George. Kaitlin had a softball tournament and I was hoping to enjoy some sunny weather while watching softball. Unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate, but we still had a great time! We headed down early on Friday morning. We shopped when we first arrived and I got Jackson some really cute summer clothes for a great deal! I also got a couple of things for myself so it was really fun! That night Kaitlin's game was pretty late so Jackson and I stayed at the hotel and I put him to bed early. The next morning we went to her first game of the day. It was decent weather, but by the time of the next game it started raining. We watched a lot of the game from the warmth of the car, but Jackson was getting restless! My mom was braving the weather for a better view of the game. Jackson spotted her and kept pointing and saying, "Gma, Gma." So, we decided to join her in the rain and cold. Jackson was not phased by it at all! He just loves to be outside. He seriously ran around the whole time. I did get him to stop and pose for a couple of pictures for me!
That night we had a yummy dinner and then Kaitlin, Jackson and I sat in the hot tub. After soaking we all just relaxed and watched the olympics. We came home Sunday morning just as a beautiful, warm day was beginning! Oh well-it was still fun and I just love spending time with my mom, Kaitlin and my amazing Granmda.


So happy to be out of the car and able to run around!
