We had a lovely Valentine weekend! We were kind of boring and didn't plan anything special, but I did get to spend the time with my two favorite boys! Yesterday I slept most of the day because I worked Friday night. Kaitlin came and played with Jackson while I slept. That evening after Jackson went to bed we got take-out from Olive Garden and then watched Love Happens. Yummy food and a cute movied made for a fun night! This morning I made pink heart pancakes for breakfast! My mom gave me these little pancake molds and they turned out so cute! Alex got me some beautiful roses and daisies (my two favorites!) and the new Lady Antebellum CD. I got him a shirt and the Bourne Trilogy movies. I made Alex leave Jackson's valentine on the porch and ring the doorbell and run. I took Jackson to open the door and he was so excited to find his new doggy! He was very happy and hasn't put the dog down since!
Toward the end of church Alex took Jackson home because he was extra grumpy. They picked me up after I taught primary then we went for a drive. As we were driving I looked back at Jackson and his face was covered in black! He had gotten into a bag of cake decorating supplies (that I used for my super bowl cupcakes) that was in the back of the car. He opened the black food coloring (the gel kind) and was eating it. His entire face and hands were covered in black! We gave him a bath and scrubbed and scrubbed, but he still has some purple tint to his skin!
After lunch and naps we made a little trip to the park. It was a lot of fun! Jackson is big enough to go down all the slides himself. He loves it! It is so much fun watching this little boy grow up!
So, we had a great Valentine weekend! I love my husband and little boy so much and am so lucky they belong to me!
