Easter Weekend

We had a great Easter weekend with my wonderful family! I worked Thursday night and spend Friday morning sleeping at my mom's house. While I was sleeping, Alex, Kaitlin, Kellsi, and Riley went four-wheeling in Delta. They had a great time and went bowling after. While they were bowling I did a little shopping with my mom and Samantha. Friday night we colored Easter Eggs and then the Killpack's came to play games with us. We played Pit and it was honestly a blast! I was laughing so hard! Erin and I were terrible and didn't win one hand, but we still had fun!
Saturday we got up early to take Jackson to the Easter Egg hunt in Hinckely. He LOVED it! I hoped he would show some interest and he surpassed my expectations! It was so much fun watching him run for the eggs. He got quite the bucketful and even won a prize! He won a cute cow which is perfect because he loves cows! He also loved his treats. Having a toddler definitely makes holidays more fun!
That afternoon we had lunch with my family. We then played volleyball and then the annual Easter Softball game was held. I didn't watch much because Jackson was grumpy so I took him for a car ride to calm him down, but I hear it was fun! That night we played games with the Killpack's once again.
The only bad part of the weekend was Saturday night. I was getting Jackson ready for bed and noticed he was really wheezing and short of breath. He had a cough, but hadn't seemed to be struggling prior to this. I had my stethoscope and listened to him and he was super wheezy. So, we took him to the ER. They gave him some albuterol and he was breathing much easier after that. They watched him for a bit, but decided he was fine to go home. That night he hardly slept-he must have been feeling really terrible :(. But by Monday he was back to his normal self.
Sunday was actually a great day other than being exhausted from the long night. Jackson got Chuck the Talking Tonka Truck, three Dr. Suess books, and a basket full of candy and eggs from the Easter Bunny. He loves his truck and books. We watched Conference with my grandparents. I love when Easter falls on Conference weekend! It is so uplifting to hear from our amazing leaders. There were some great talks that made me feel closer to my Heavenly Father and Savior which is what Easter is all about!
After conference we headed home to Nephi. My mom made a delicious dinner and then we ended the night watching The Princess and the Frog (such a cute movie!). It was a great Easter! Jackson and I got to stay in Nephi for a few days-more on that later!

It was fun!

I actually don't like it when Easter falls on Conference. I like to watch ALL of conference and with Easter traditions, it is very difficult. I have Easter traditions and conference traditions and they don't go well together. Oh well.

I'm glad Jackson is ok now...does he have asthma?

I'm sad I missed it. Easton has the same pajamas (from Target)! I'm glad you all had a great Easter.

It was a fun Easter. Thank Alex again for taking David's 4-wheeler. He sure loved it.
