Happy Fathers Day and Birthday to my favorite Alex!

Alex got two celebrations right in a row! Sunday was Father's day and Tuesday was his birthday! I had to work Tuesday so we celebrated Saturday night with a trip up Farmington Canyon. We made a fire, barbequed some chicken and corn-on-the-cob, and of course made smores! Jackson was loving it! There was a little waterfall and he loved it. He kept pointing and saying, "Water!" He also loved throwing rocks into the water. It was fun watching him get filthy dirty-he couldn't get enough :).
On Sunday I made Alex pancakes and eggs for breakfast and then a turkey dinner after church. He got lots of new clothes, movies, and a few gift cards(he got birthday and Father's day gifts all together).
Jackson and I are so blessed to have Alex in our lives! He is seriously the best dad and husband! Jackson adores his daddy and loves every minute they are together. Alex is always so patient, fun, and loving. He never complains about taking care of Jackson when I have to go to work. I love him so much!
I am also blessed to have an amazing father! My dad is the best! I am so lucky to be so close to both of my parents. My dad is such an example to me in so many aspects. I am so proud of him for going back to school-I know it isn't easy, but he will make a great nurse when he is done! My dad always puts his family first and I love him for that! Thanks dad!

Now for some pictures!

Roasting his first marshmallow!

Eating my delicious smore (the strawberry marshmallows are my new favorite-yummy!)

I need to point out that I am an expert marshmallow roaster. Every one I made that night was perfectly browned! If you ever need a perfect roated marshmallow I am your girl :)

Just chillin in the dirt :)

Jackson is so big to roast his own marshmallows! Looks like you had a fun time! I'll have to try the strawberries mallows next time. Sounds good!
