We had a wonderful Christmas this year! We spent Christmas Eve night at my parent's house. My dad had to work at 6am Christmas day so we woke up extra early (4:30am!) so he could open gifts with us. Jackson was so excited when we told him Santa came! Watching him find his presents and be so excited about everything is seriously the best part of Christmas! Jackson got a Mobigo touch, some Mobigo games, Cars Squinkies, Rio, and candy from Santa. Gavin got a bouncer and some binkies from Santa. After seeing Santa gifts we opened our other gifts. We were all thoroughly spoiled! Jackson loved all of his presents! His favorites are probably the Mobigo and a green (his FAVORITE color!) light saber that lights up and makes sounds from Grandma Jill and Grandpa Bob. I was spoiled by my parents with a KitchenAid mixer! I have wanted one forever and I had no idea that is what I was getting! I was SO excited. My favorite present from Alex was Lady Antebellum tickets! He is the best and wrapped it so cute. He tied the tickets to the end of a balloon and then wrapped the balloon in a box. So, when I opened the top of the box the balloon floated up with the tickets on the end! He is seriously so creative and it was so fun! Alex got new clothes, gift cards, and a gift card for iFly in Ogden.
After presents my mom made us a delicious breakfast-including my yummy buttermilk syrup. After breakfast we went to church. My boys looked so dang handsome :) The meeting was really great. I liked having Christmas on Sunday so we could have an extra reminder of the reason for the holiday.
After church we got ready and headed to Salt Lake. We opened gifts with the Matesens. I played Scrabble with Devin and Janette and I won both times! I was on a roll :) It was so fun just laughing and visiting with my brother and sister-in-law.

Christmas is definitely my favorite holiday of the year! I love finding the perfect gift for someone and seeing them open it. I love the music, food, lights, and parties. I love that people are kinder and more Christlike throughout the season. This year did not disappoint!
